This is the website for NoticeBored, the information security awareness service provided by IsecT Limited.

We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act in letter and in spirit.

For each visitor to this website, the webserver automatically recognizes and collects information such as the visitor’s IP address and browser type.  We use it for statistical purposes to monitor how the website is being used and to improve it.  We do not share it with other organizations. 

This website is hosted by GoDaddy, a commercial hosting company.  Along with the ISPs and other telecoms service providers along the way, GoDaddy potentially has access to the same information about website visitors.  GoDaddy’s privacy policy is here.

We collect  contact details such as names, company names, email addresses, phone number and postal addresses of those who buy our products, contact us to evaluate them, email us, phone us or otherwise volunteer such information.  If you choose to provide contact details, we assume you won’t mind us contacting you but we promise not to pester you.  If you do not want to receive email or other forms of contact from us in future, please let us know by emailing, telephoning or writing using our contact information stated in bold above.

We do not set any cookies although admittedly we do eat them.

From time to time, we may use contact information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice but we promise always to act in good faith.  If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes here.  If you are concerned about how your personal information is used, you should revisit this page periodically but please rest assured that we have absolutely no intention of sending you spam ourselves, nor of passing your details to spammers.  Spam is repulsive.  Spammers more so.

We have appropriate information security measures in place to protect the information that we have collected from you against loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration and similar risks.  We are information security specialists after all!  Having said that, we appreciate that total security is a pipe dream but we do our best.

If you feel that we are not complying with this policy or if you have concerns about our use of your personal data, you may contact us at any time.  We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that any privacy concerns are settled to your complete satisfaction.  And if you ask nicely, we might even sell you a security awareness module on privacy ...
